About Chapters
Join OneNano to become part of a trusted, peer-driven community of nanoscale infrastructure professionals dedicated to advancing operational excellence.
What is a OneNano Chapter?
OneNano chapters catalyze regional communities of nanoscale infrastructure professionals through regular, in-person engagement. Chapters foster strong professional networks grounded in community, equitability, impact, and transparency, ensuring value for organizations of all sizes while promoting open knowledge exchange within and beyond each region.
What do Chapters do?
Governed by a Chapter Executive Committee, each chapter organizes regional meetings—known as Meredith Meetings—bringing together operational colleagues within a practical travel distance to share best practices, discuss challenges, and support research and innovation.
Chapter Governance and Roles
A OneNano Chapter is governed by a Chapter Executive Committee responsible for organizing regional meetings (Meredith Meetings) for nanoscale infrastructure professionals.
- The Chapter Executive Committee (Executive Committee) is a group of Chapter Officers and Chapter Members who govern a OneNano Chapter to run Meredith Meetings.
- Chapter Member (Member) is any participating individual of a region or area that is part of the Chapter constituency.
- Chapter Officer (Officer) is a Member who is endowed with responsibilities as set forth in their Charter. There are three primary leadership roles that are required to charter a new chapter with a two-year renewable service term.
- The Chapter Chair coordinates overall event logistics with venues and hotels and works with the OneNano Board to secure sponsorship.
- The Chapter Vice Chair coordinates speakers and meeting topics for the upcoming meetings.
- The Chapter Secretary maintains overall chapter communications to the community and maintains the chapters registration portal.
